Assignment:
To design and produce a new identity and product packaging for The Spa at Luton Hoo.
Background:
Elite Hotels were established in 1986 and currently have four hotels in the South East of England, which have all been carefully restored to their original splendour.
Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf and Spa was opened in Autumn 2007 after a £60million refurbishment that restored the hotel to its original grandeur.
O&G have worked alongside Elite hotels for eight years producing press advertisements, event flyers, banners, and a variety of other marketing materials.
Insight:
The products and packaging needed to portray the opulence and lavishness of the hotel, creating a unique range of products, specific to the local area. A botanist took samples from the 100-acre grounds and used these samples to inspire each individual, organic flavour/scent.
Creative development:
The initial part of the project was to create a brand identity for The Spa at Luton Hoo. The design needed to represent the organic nature of the products along with the affluence of the hotel.
The packaging for the products ranged from boxes to spray pumps including scented candles, oils, cream, lotions and other luxury pampering cosmetics. The style was elegant and understated with organic undertones.
Timing:
From initial brief to delivery took 12 weeks.
