Best of Morocco: Brochure and DM

Assignment:

To update the existing Best of Morocco brochure and create an exciting design which would make Best of Morocco stand out from its competitors as a provider of handpicked authentic Moroccan holiday experiences.

To support the updated brochure we designed a DM piece to send to all brochure recipients to evoke the sights of Morocco with a strong call to action.

Background:

Now part of the Travel Zest group, Best of Morocco was first inspired by a trip in a Fiat 500 to Morocco in 1967 and since then they haven’t looked back.

As well as making regular visits to find the best destinations and activities, they have their own offices in Marrakech. The Best of Morocco’s detailed knowledge has enabled them to create adventurous and innovative holidays for those who wish to experience the real Morocco.

Insight:

Best of Morocco wanted to bring a flavour of the real Morocco to potential clients with an exciting and tactile brochure.

With many returning customers and a formula that worked they wanted to update the brochure whilst retaining the format and mood of their successful previous design. Our challenge was to update the brochure and create a real feeling of the Moroccan experience.

The focus was on the whole experience of Morocco rather than on selling product through traffic pages.

Creative development:

Taking inspiration from the intricate and elaborate Moroccan vibe, we created a bold design with a dramatic gold on gold cover. A tactile embossed cover further heightened the sensory experience. Warm and beautiful full page images of the hotels and riads invited the reader to come and experience the real Morocco.

To keep the focus on the experience of Morocco, a number of different page layouts were devised to showcase the most authentic Riads and demonstrate the wealth of cultural experiences available in Morocco.

Timing:

From concept to delivery the brochure took 8 weeks.
